Building Confidence One Word at a Time

Kindergarten students at Ojo Encino Day School practiced their spelling skills by writing words on individual boards and proudly sharing their work with classmates. This simple, hands‑on activity strengthened early reading and literacy skills while building confidence and fostering joyful participation.

Teacher Olivia L. Nelson, M.Ed., created a supportive environment where students could learn, take risks, and celebrate their progress together. The classroom was filled with excitement as students showcased their spelling — one word at a time!
