At Ojo Encino Day School, we are excited to offer the Family and Child Education Program to support children and parents in building strong foundations for lifelong learning. FACE helps families prepare their children for school while also equipping parents, guardians and caregivers with tools to reach their educational and personal goals.

Our program offers both center-based and home-based options, allowing families to choose what works best for them.

What is the FACE Program?

The FACE Program is designed to support:

  • Early childhood development and school readiness.
  • Family literacy and family involvement in their child’s education.
  • Adult education and personal growth.

By working with families, FACE helps children gain the skills they need to succeed in school while empowering parents, guardians and caregivers to play an active role in their child’s learning.

FACE Program Options

Center-Based Option

The center-based program provides preschool education for children ages 3 to 5 and offers opportunities for parents, guardians and caregivers to learn and grow alongside their children. Our center-based services include:

  • Preschool Education: High-quality, hands-on learning experiences to prepare children for kindergarten.
  • Parent and Child Together Time: Shared learning activities strengthen family bonds and promote literacy.
  • Adult Education Classes: Courses to help parents achieve personal and professional goals, including improving literacy, earning a GED or developing job skills.

Home-Based Option

The home-based program supports parents, guardians and caregivers as their child’s first and most important teacher. Families receive personalized home visits from trained parent educators who provide:

  • Personalized Learning Activities: Fun, age-appropriate activities to help children meet developmental milestones.
  • Parent Education:  Guidance and resources to support parents, guardians and other caregivers in fostering a positive and nurturing environment for children.
  • Developmental Screenings: Regular check-ins to track children’s growth and learning progress.
  • Goal Setting: Support to help caregivers achieve their educational and personal goals.
